Please read below to find a step-by-step guide on getting started with Duet for Android:
You will need two software applications to make Duet work – one in your computer and another in your mobile device.
Download and install Duet for Android
First, install Duet for Android – click here to download our latest version. Our Android app requires Android 7.0 or later – once you've downloaded it, you will also need to download our free desktop app on either Mac or PC.
Download and install Duet for Mac
Download the latest macOS version from here – requires macOS Mojave 10.14.2 or later for Android. The product does work on 10.12 and 10.13, but we do not officially support these versions if any issues are encountered.
To install the app, please double-click on the .app file, which will install Duet in your Applications folder. Once installed, you will see the app's icon in the menu at the top right of your Mac (a lowercase d with a circle around it). If you need to change any settings, click on the menu bar icon to open Duet's UI on macOS.
Download and install Duet for Windows
Download the latest Windows version from here – requires Windows 10 (64-bit) or later for Android.
To install the app, please double-click on the .exe file, which will install Duet on your PC. Once installed, you will see the app's icon in the menu at the bottom right of your PC (a lowercase d with a circle around it). If you need to change any settings, click on the menu bar icon to open Duet's UI on Windows.
To connect Duet, open the app on your Android device and make sure it is also open on your desktop – you should see the icon in the system tray at the top right of your Mac or on the bottom right of your PC.
In order to establish a wireless connection between your Android device and your desktop, follow these steps.
Connecting via cable is also possible – note, however, there's a few things to consider:
You should now have a second display connected to your desktop! Just click and drag the title bar of your apps and move them across the edge of your desktop's screen to your Android device.
